| Rousseau Métal Inc. was founded in 1950 by
Andre Rousseau. Rousseau manufactured a variety of metal products.
In 1975, new business opportunities led Rousseau to target the
industrial sector in addition to its existing government and private
sector customers. Backed by a quarter century of expertise in custom
made products, Rousseau began to design, manufacture, and market its
own storage systems for industry, like the modular cabinets and drawers, Spider™ shelving, Mini-Racking, benches and
workstations that are well known today.
Over the years, Rousseau has grown as business has
increased. From the initial 15,000-sq. ft., in 1950, the plant has
expanded to 150,000 sq.ft. and the number of employees has risen from
3 to over 300 in the same period. Major investment programs, high tech
equipment, employee training, and plant expansion have all contributed
to the company’s growth.
In addition, Rousseau earned ISO 9002
certification in December 1997 as a further guarantee of quality
to its customers. |
